Road and Hybrid bicycles

Even if entering the Tour de France is the farthest thing from your thoughts, you can still get out enjoy fresh air, exercise and save on gas by riding a road bike or one of the new breed of hybrid bikes (not to be confused with gas/electric cars!). Road bikes are geared (sorry) towards the cycling enthusiast who wants performance, speed and rides for the workout. Though there are some very high-performance models made for cyclocross racing, most Hybrid (or all-road) bikes are built with the emphasis on versatility and riding comfort. These bikes are ideal all-round transport for areas like Muskoka, where the pavement can be a little rough and you might ride the occasional gravel road or moderate trail section.
